    Ochiaiuro, a registered cultural property, is nestled in the majestic mountains of Shuzenji, Izu, by the confluence of two rivers. We have been serving you since 1874, and we will continue to do so. The 4,000 tsubo (9,760 square meters) of land is equipped with three types of hot spring baths, a garden, lounge, reading room, sauna, and other facilities, allowing you to enjoy the entire ryokan as if it were your own home away from home. Joren no Taki Waterfall
Amid deep trees, a 25-meter-high, 7-meter-wide waterfall hangs over a basalt cliff, and the cool mountain air and spray make it chilly even in summer. The basalt rock of the waterfall is covered with a colony of the natural treasure Haikomochi fern. Downstream of the waterfall's basin is the Amagi International Trout Fishing Ground, where trout fishing can be enjoyed, and along the mountain stream is a stretch of wasabi fields, a specialty of Amagi, where visitors can see wasabi cultivation up close. Joren Falls has been selected as one of the 100 best waterfalls in Japan.
Bamboo grove path (Shuzenji)
Chikurin-no-Komichi, a walking path along the Katsura River that runs through the center of the hot spring resort area, was developed over a period of three years starting in 1994. Walking along the bamboo grove path, you will be nostalgic for the tea houses and fire watchtowers, and if you sit on a large bamboo circular bench in the center of the bamboo grove, you can feel the breeze passing through the bamboo grove. After sunset, the path is illuminated and visitors can enjoy a fantastic night walk (illumination is from sunset to 23:00).
Shuzenji Niji-no-Sato
This nature-filled theme park is divided into various zones, including the British Village, Canadian Village, Izu Village, Japanese Garden, and Takumi no Mura. A British miniature SL train runs through the park, and in the Takumi no Mura, visitors can try their hand at papermaking, woodworking plates, and bunbun koma (a Japanese traditional Japanese topknot).
